South Korea is pretty sure it has identified the mysterious flying object originating from North Korea that it fired warning shots at on Tuesday.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff said Tuesday it had shot more than 90 machine gun rounds before the unidentified flying object disappeared from radar, according to Yonhap News Agency.
The country’s military then announced Wednesday local time that radar had picked up what was likely roughly 10 balloons carrying propaganda leaflets there were flying over the demilitarized zone near Cheorwon County, Gangwon Province.
“Judging from the results of an analysis, (we) believe there is a low possibility that the objects were drones,” said a ministry spokesman, the news outlet added.
