Rain leads to water rescues in Montgomery County

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel removed occupants from vehicles trapped in water Wednesday, officials said.

Because of the strong rain and storms, Fire and Rescue workers were called to the western end of the county in the Boyds area and removed occupants from vehicles in two separate locations, Fire and Rescue Assistant Chief Scott Graham said.

The vehicles have also been removed from the water, and there were no injuries, Graham said.

About an inch of rain fell Wednesday at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Dulles International Airport. Clear skies are in the forecast Thursday with the high reaching about 65 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
