Law & Order: Special Victims Unit alum Chris Meloni went after President Trump for his handling of early signs of the coronavirus during his impeachment trial.
Meloni retweeted a video of Trump at a press conference last week in which the president pushed back on the notion he was too distracted by Democrats’ pursuit of impeachment in February to focus on the COVID-19 outbreak.
“I don’t think I would’ve done any better had I not been impeached. And I think that’s a great tribute to something. Maybe it’s a tribute to me,” Trump said.
In sharing the clip, Meloni wrote, “If a POS had a mouth,” using the acronym for the phrase “piece of shit.”

The actor, famous for his role as NYPD officer Elliot Stabler, has bashed the president in the past as well.
He tweeted in 2017, “With all due respect – shut up u f—ing dick. Ur damaged goods and only Putin and idiots and brown Nosers believe in u.”
He ended the tweet with “#TooHarsh?”
