A truck drove through a crowd of celebrants in the French city of Nice Thursday night, reportedly killing at least 60 people and injuring many more.
French authorities are referring to the incident as an attack, one that targeted a busy celebration of Bastille Day, a national holiday.
Le Parisien reports that the driver of the truck was killed but that another suspect is on the run. The city, located in the south of France, has been placed on lockdown and citizens have been encouraged to remain in their homes.
