A billboard that called members of the “squad,” including Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley, the four horsemen of “idiots” is coming down after sparking controversy.
The billboard was an advertisement for Cherokee Guns and was helped designed by its owner, Doc. Despite Doc not apologizing for the sign, Allison Outdoor Advertising said it will be removed, according to WTVC.
“We’re not in the business of upsetting people, and it’s a shame it has come to this,” a representative for Allison Outdoor Advertising said.
“For all those who has concern over the Cherokee Guns Artwork. The board is coming down. This Creative never came on managements desk for approval. We understand this is a delicate subject and we greatly apologize for it ever going up,” the company further said on social media.
Doc said he might sue the firm because it has helped his business, even selling a bumper sticker version of it.
“The billboard has been driving business into our store. This was the main goal, as what any billboard is for! We give no apologies as we believe in our message (as many others do). The bottom line – this country will never be a Socialist country. I think President Trump will agree,” he said.
Doc added, “I don’t care if it’s four white women, four white guys who have their view – they’d be on the billboard.”
