MASN is ready for spring training in high definition for both the Nats and the O’s

Kicking off the baseball season on MASN, the Nationals will take on the World Series Champion Yankees on March 12th in Viera and again on March 24th in Tampa. MASN’s pre-season Nationals schedule will also include a March 15th match-up against the Braves and the April 3rd exhibition game against the Red Sox at Nationals Park. Each of the games will be televised in crystal clear high definition.

The Orioles schedule will include four games against tough AL East rivals, beginning with a March 7th game against the Red Sox in Sarasota. After facing the Yankees twice on March 25th and March 29th, the Orioles will meet the Red Sox again on March 31st. Every Orioles game will appear in HD and be televised live from the team’s new spring training home in Sarasota.

Three games will be televised in prime-time, including two Nationals games (against the Yankees and Braves) and one Orioles game (against the Yankees) with MASN’s coverage beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The entire Nationals and Orioles season this year will feature all the games in HD. Also back in the Washington broadcast booth will be Bob Carpenter, Rob Dibble and Debbi Taylor all who did an outstanding job last season.

Pregames will once again be handled by the Nats Xtra team of Johnny Holliday and Ray Knight will be doing the majority of the shows.

Orioles fans will again see the team of Garry Thorne and Jim Palmer as the main broadcast duo and as of now MASN is seeking a replacement for Buck Martinez who left to become the full time play by play TV voice of the Toronto Blue Jays on Rogers Sports.

Amber Theoharris will be doing her usual fine job as an in game reporter and the always entertaining duo of Jim Hunter and Rick Dempsey will handle the O’s Xtra Shows.
