Host Nick Cannon pranks America’s Got Talent judges as an unrecognizable and untalented mime

Nick Cannon’s got talent … as a prankster. Definitely not as a mime.

Cannon, the host of “America’s Got Talent,” helped kick off Tuesday night’s season premiere by playing a joke on the show’s judges. Dressing up as a totally unrecognizable mime named Larry, Cannon took to the stage in hopes of being America’s next great mime artist.

Larry the mime performed the old cliche routines of a mime being trapping in a box and fighting the wind. The judges were not impressed. They quickly gave him the show’s equivalent of the thumbs-down.

“It didn’t have any context,” complained Judge Melanie Brown.

Larry the mime, still not revealed as Cannon, was handed a microphone. (Here was some visual humor that made all four judges laugh.)

“I think after 4 Xs you might want to give up mime and start talking,” joked judge Howard Stern.

The mime took offense.

“Where do you guys get off telling me how to be a mime?” he asked.

The mime rushed the judge’s table in anger. Checkout the payoff laughter that comes next below.
