President Trump bashed members of the “squad” of freshmen Democrats after Rep. Ilhan Omar criticized the president’s Iran sanctions.
Trump appeared on Fox News on Friday and sat for an interview with host Laura Ingraham, who pushed Trump on Omar’s criticism of new sanctions that his administration placed on Iran after the terror state launched ballistic missiles at two U.S. bases in Iraq on Jan. 8.
The Minnesota representative called Trump’s sanctions “economic warfare” and said the trade barriers have “caused medical shortages and countless deaths in Iran.”
“She hates Israel. She hates Jewish people. You just have to take a look at her rhetoric,” Trump said, referring to Omar.
Trump also slammed Omar’s colleagues New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib.
“It’s incredible what’s happened to the Democrats in Congress. They used to be supportive of Israel. Today, they are supportive of her and Tlaib – that’s another real winner,” Trump said. “Tlaib and AOC, who knows nothing. AOC knows nothing. Poor student, poor everything.”
