Ravens fans will be able to follow the purple and black all season long on MASN and WBAL beginning tonight . The preseason game with the Redskins can be seen on MASN2 and WBAL-TV 11.Radio wise the game can be heard on the Ravens radio network WBAL/98Rock.
For the second straight season Gerry Sandusky, Stan White and Rob Burnett will heard on both the radio and TV broadcasts. There will be one change this season and that will be Burnett doing his color analysis from the Ravens sidelines not only for the preseason but during the regular season as well which is a good move. He was very effective doing sideline work last year and should be even better now that he will be on the field for the entire game.
Ravens Kickoff gets things going tonight at 7p.m. with Pete Gilbert and former Ravens receiver Qadry Ismail. Ismal has become a top notch analyst and Gilbert is a solid host.
The game will kickoff at 7:30p.m. with Sandusky, White and Barnett handling the broadcast duties. It should be noted that the game will be offered live in high definition on WBAL TV 11. MASN2 will carry tonight’s game in standard definition with a number of replays in HD throughout the week. I would suggest that you check their website for the MASN-HD airtimes.
Before the Ravens fans go crazy about MASN not airing some preseason games live in HD you really need to understand that because of baseball contracts the Orioles and the Nationals get first priority when it comes to HD broadcasts.
So in you can’t please everyone department because MASN airs more live baseball in HD than any other regional sports network in the country and because they don’t have a second HD channel there will be some games that do not get live HD coverage. But it is only preseason and those fans in Baltimore can see the game in HD on WBAL and there will be plenty of replays so Ravens fans just calm down and enjoy the game.
After the game Ravens Xtra will air with Gilbert and Ismal brining fans highlights and interviews.
The regular season MASN Ravens schedule will be the same as last season with Monday nights featuring One Winning Drive with Keith Mills and Mike Flynn. Tuesday’s will be the coach John Harbaugh Show this year hosted by Sandusky, then on Wednesday it will be Ravens Report with Ismail talking with players and members of Ravens Nation in a magazine type format . Thursday nights features Game Plan with Larry Rosen who givens fans an insight to what the coaches are thinking about as they get ready for Sunday’s game. Then on Friday nights its Purple Passion with Mills and Kyle Richardson as they get fans ready for the game and visit with present and former Ravens.
All of the Ravens weekday shows on MASN air at 7p.m. with replays at 10p.m.
