ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (AP) — The Elizabethton Star has new leadership at the top of the newspaper.
The Star (http://bit.ly/NBCVvd) announced Tuesday that Mark A. Stevens will become publisher on Aug. 27, succeeding Nathan Goodwin, who is taking over as president and chairman of Elizabethton Newspapers Inc.
Stevens has been working since 2011 in Louisiana as community outreach editor at The Daily Advertiser of Lafayette, the Daily World of Opelousas and The Times of Acadiana, all owned by Gannett Co. Inc.
Before that, the Carter County native led The Erwin Record for 13 years and worked as a features writer and editor at the Johnson City Press.
