Angela Taylor was named general manager of the Washington Mystics, taking over for Linda Hargrove, who was fired last month following Washington’s 10-24 season that finished with a nine-game losing streak.
Taylor, who won two national titles as a player with Stanford, was most recently vice president of business operations for the Minnesota Lynx. She’s also worked in the WNBA league office as senior director of player personnel.
Mystics chief operating officer Greg Bibb said Taylor will participate in the team’s search for a new coach, which is expected to be completed by mid-November.
