Former Vice President Joe Biden not only delivered the commencement address at Cornell University on Saturday, but also got to taste test the new ice cream flavor the school unveiled last week in his honor.
In the run-up to Biden’s keynote address, Cornell’s Convocation Committee revealed that students voted to the name the ice cream flavor “Big Red, White, and Biden,” which features vanilla ice cream with chunks of chocolate, according to the Cornell Chronicle.

During his commencement address Biden joked about why he chose to speak at the Ivy League school based in Ithaca, N.Y.
“I got to admit the real reason why I came today: I love ice cream,” he quipped. “I’m the only Irishman you guys know whose never had and loves ice cream.”
Biden said the dean of the school of agriculture told him that the ice cream is so good because they have the “smartest cows.”
Biden actually had a chance his eponymous ice cream flavor when he was given a cone after his speech and told graduates, “It’s really good!”
