An #Occupier meets reality

Today’s New York Post has the story of an #Occupy protestor who was degreed-up with no place to go — a biomed Ph.D. who had tired of seeking work in academia and decided to give Revolution a try.

She demonstrated in Zuccotti park, holding a sign that announced her credentials. And then? She got hired by a Wall Street investment firm. After three weeks, she seems to like the job.

You can read this story any way you like, but here’s the lesson I take away: Once again, we see that “the system” the Occupiers rail against is actually just what happens spontaneously when people who have skills and smarts come into contact with people who need them.
