WSJ columnist: ‘Perpetually angry’ Clinton only knows how to ‘yell’

Kimberley Strassel, conservative columnist for the Wall Street Journal, has written an op-ed advising Donald Trump on how to beat his opponent Hillary Clinton at the first presidential debate.

One of her tips is to take advantage of what she says is Clinton’s harsh demeanor.

“By being positive, Mr. Trump would draw a stark contrast,” wrote Strassel in a column published Thursday night. “Mrs. Clinton these days looks perpetually angry and seems to have only one volume setting: yell.”

Strassel is only the latest to criticize Clinton for her voice and personality.

In February, veteran journalist Bob Woodward said Clinton “shouts” when campaigning and needs to “get off this screaming stuff.”

In the month before, Peggy Noonan, also of the Journal, said Clinton is “especially poor at the podium, where, when she wants to emphasize an applause line, her voice becomes loud, flat and harassing to the ear.” She compared Clinton to a “landlady yelling up the stairs that your kids left their bikes in the hall again.”

The debate between the Democratic nominee and Trump takes place Monday.
