The new cover of the latest issue of The Economist, published in the wake of the violence in Charlottesville, Va., features President Trump holding a bullhorn made to look like a Ku Klux Klan hood.
The cover, released Thursday, comes in the wake of Trump’s response to Saturday’s violence in Charlottesville, where white nationalist groups protesting the proposed removal of a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee clashed with counter-protesters.

In remarks Tuesday from Trump Tower in New York City, Trump reiterated previous comments that “both sides” were to blame for the events that took place in Charlottesville, and said there were “very fine people” involved on both sides of the protests.
Following his comments at Trump Tower, some Republicans and Democrats accused the president of drawing a moral equivalency between the white supremacists groups and those who protested against them.
In addition to The Economist, Time magazine also released its new cover Thursday.
The cover features a man, draped in the American flag, making the Nazi salute, with the headline “Hate in America.”
