D.C. fire and rescue workers were treating a crane operator who became injured at the tip of the crane 150 feet in the air.
Around 8:20 a.m. Tuesday, D.C. fire officials got a call for an accident at a construction site in the 2400 block of 14th Street NW between Belmont and Chapin streets. The crane operator was incapacitated and dangling on the tip of the crane.
Paramedics scaled the crane and found the man conscious and breathing. Fire crews secured him and were working to get him in a emergency basket and lower him to the ground 15 stories below.
