Former Republican presidential candidate John Kasich confessed on Monday evening that he wrote in Arizona Sen. John McCain for president on his early voting ballot instead of Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Chris Schrimpf, the governor’s political spokesman, confirmed to Cleveland.com that the Ohio governor voted straight-ticket Republican on the rest of his ballot, but stood by his July promise not to vote for the billionaire businessman.
