Don’t even think about it: Tony Awards issues warning following Oscars drama

What a slap in the face.

In a letter to attendees, Tony Award Productions issued a strong warning regarding violence.

The document, obtained by Variety, reads, “The Tony Awards has a strict no violence policy. In the event of an incident, the perpetrator will be removed from the event immediately.”

The warning is presumably in response to the recent Oscars controversy in which actor Will Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock in the face. The assault occurred after Rock poked fun at the bald head of Jada Pinkett Smith, Will Smith’s wife, who has alopecia.
