In conjunction with the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Corcoran College of Art + Design presents NEXT at the Corcoran: BFA Class of 2011. The show, which is free to the public unlike other exhibits at the museum, features the work which was created by senior students in the fine arts program created for their thesis presentations. The exhibit features a variety of mediums in fine art, design and photography. While visitors will be able to view the works, they will also be able to experience critiques from the artists’ peers and instructors. The presentation showcases some of the area’s most promising new artists.
Additionally, the Corcoran College of Art + Design will be hosting discussions with professors and students on the first three Wednesday of May, where they will talk in depth about the work of the graduating students. The school will also hold a meet-and-greet with the students on May 12.
