American Eagle sued over text messages

CHICAGO (Legal Newsline) – A California man brought a class action lawsuit against American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. on Jan. 21 alleging the clothing retailer sent out unsolicited text messages.

Walter Wood, of Santa Barbara County, alleged that the company did not have prior consent to send the text messages, which violates the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
