AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Storm debris has been cleaned from a popular swimming hole in Central Texas so visitors can once again go for a dip.
Austin Parks and Recreation Department officials say Barton Springs Pool reopens Saturday after being closed since deadly Sept. 18 storms.
A Travis County sheriff’s deputy who was on patrol died after being swept away by flooding after the Austin area received more than 7 inches of rain.
Services were held Wednesday for Senior Deputy Jessica Hollis. Her body was recovered Sept. 19 in Lake Austin.
