KILLEEN, Texas (AP) — A 55-year-old former Central Texas teacher has been charged with having sex with a 16-year-old female student in his classroom and elsewhere.

Killeen police say Samuel Antonio Caines Jr. was arraigned Thursday on a charge of an inappropriate relationship between an educator and a student. Online jail records had no information on an attorney for Caines, who was freed on $100,000 bond.
