Trump to attend Army-Navy game in Baltimore

President-elect Trump will attend the Army-Navy game this Saturday, according to his transition team.

Following a three-city tour through a trio of battleground states that carried him to victory last month, Trump will travel to Baltimore over the weekend to greet cadets and midshipmen and watch the matchup with the players’ families.

The incoming Republican president will spend half the game cheering on the Army Black Knights and the other half in the opposing section with fans of the Navy Midshipmen, who have won 14 consecutive games in the series.

Navy head coach Ken Niumatalolo told Press Box last month that only “on a handful of occasions” over the course of his 19 seasons coaching has the president or president-elect attended the Army-Navy game.

President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden saluted U.S. troops and attended the game in 2011.
