Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, is rolling out a television ad in Iowa and New Hampshire that attacks Gov. Rick Perry, R-Texas, for supporting Al Gore when he ran for president in 1988, saying that Perry worked with Gore “to undo the Reagan Revolution.”
The opening line of the ad makes an effective analogy between Paul and Reagan, both mocked during their candidacies for having extreme views.
