WASHINGTON (AP) — Authorities in Fairfax and Prince William counties say 911 phone lines are not working properly after Friday night’s storm.
Residents are being told to go to their nearest police or fire station to report an emergency, or to a hospital.
Fairfax County said 911 service has been partially restored as of Saturday evening. Residents who cannot get through are being asked to call 703-691-7561 or 703-691-3680.
