DC Council passes assisted suicide bill

The D.C. Council has approved a bill that would make assisted suicide legal about a week after Colorado voters adopted a similar measure.

The bill now goes before District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser, who has said she will not veto it. It was passed by an 11-2 margin during a legislative meeting on Tuesday.
