NEW YORK (AP) — The NYPD says a Staten Island woman has been critically injured in a stabbing and her husband has jumped to his death from the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge.
Police say the 51-year-old woman was found in her home Sunday with two stab wounds.
They say her 47-year-old husband was retrieved from the water by the Coast Guard around 9:34 a.m. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Police say officers had responded to the couple’s home in 2007 after getting a call about a domestic dispute.
The couple’s names were not immediately released.
