Justin Sink of The Hill writes that:
Pertinent point but, sticking with the vernacular, it is what it is. Which is to say, it is about him. Mr. Obama and his core of adoring followers, to include many in the media, have personalized his presidency until just about everything is all about him.
A point Eleanor Holmes Norton makes earnestly when she observes that:
The same point Jon Stewart makes in his fashion:
Unfortunately, it is “about” President Obama, to some degree. Something he made clear when he said, essentially, What red line? That isn’t my red line. That’s everybody’s red line.
So if it is to be about him, then perhaps the president ought to turn the situation to his advantage. So far, he has left the heavy lifting to his Secretary of State. It might be time, in another clichéd formulation, to go all in.
Because if he doesn’t care enough to do that, then the rest of the country will wonder why it should.
