New Jersey congressman bests “Jeopardy” computer

Ken Jennings couldn’t do it, but House member Rush Holt, D-N.J., could.

The nuclear physicist and five-time “Jeopardy” winner beat super-computer Watson on Monday in one round of a mock match with Holt and Reps. Jared Polis, D-Colo., Jim Himes, D-Conn., Nan Hayworth, R-N.Y., and Bill Cassidy, R-La.

Holt beat Watson’s $6,200 total with $8,600 of his own in one round of the game. But overall, Watson got the best of the congressmen, winning the overall exhibition.
