Writer Stephen King was criticized Friday for labeling President Trump’s coronavirus response team gathered in the Rose Garden as “all male, all old, and all white” despite clear evidence to the contrary.

“Note that Trump’s coronavirus team is all male, all old, and all white,” King said in a tweet that was retweeted over 10,000 times and liked over 100,000 times.

Many Twitter users quickly responded with photos from the press conference King was referencing, showing people speaking who did not match his assessment.

“I’m sorry this is happening to you,” The Federalist co-founder Sean Davis said on Twitter, along with tweeting a picture of Seema Verma, who is both female and nonwhite, and Dr. Deborah Burke, who is also a woman.

“Libs are beyond parody,” TV host and former CIA analyst Buck Sexton tweeted.

“It takes effort to be this dumb,” digital content creator Caleb Hull said, along with tweeting photo evidence of King’s misstep.

Breitbart’s Brandon Darby jabbed King as well by tagging him in a tweet with a photo of Trump’s coronavirus response team.

King has been a longtime critic of the president and has said that Trump is “scarier” than any of the horror-themed books he has written and called him a Nazi.

Trump declared a national emergency during the press conference Friday in the Rose Garden to help combat the spread of the coronavirus that has killed 51 people in the United States.
