It’s only natural that we would end up with Hillary Clinton’s personal lawyer criticizing the man Democrats believed would take down Donald Trump and end his presidency.
The 2016 election will truly never end.

In an op-ed Monday night for the Washington Post, David Kendall, who represents both Clinton and her husband, said that special counsel Robert Mueller shirked his responsibility in declining to explicitly state whether Trump had obstructed justice of the probes into Russia and the 2016 campaign.
Kendall wrote:
But the failure to draw any conclusion on whether the president obstructed justice was a massive dereliction of the special counsel’s duty, and the report’s explanation of this failure is both incoherent and illogical.
Kendall went on to do what Democrats and liberals in the media have been doing since Mueller’s report came out. He cited the parts that argue there was “substantial” evidence that Trump had attempted to obstruct justice, while leaving out the parts that made the perfectly reasonable opposite case. The latter included equally “substantial” evidence that Trump’s motive for many or all of Trumps actions were political, not criminal. (Also included in Mueller’s report was the acknowledgment that there was no underlying crime — collusion or conspiracy with Russia — thus making an obstruction case even more difficult.)

Democrats were bound to end up angry with the outcome of the Russia investigation because, for them, it was never an honest fact-finding mission. It was retaliation for Trump having won the election.
Now it’s all over and Mueller didn’t claim the scalp as Democrats had hoped. The only thing left is to attack him as a failure.
