Fairfax County police are looking for the person who injured three horses. Police said the animals were wounded sometime between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30 a.m. Thursday. The horses were on private property on the 2600 block of Centreville Road, near Frying Pan Farm Park, said Officer Shelly Broderick, a police spokeswoman. They had suffered cuts and required stitches, though the wounds are not believed to be life-threatening, Broderick said.
A trail through the park runs near where the horses were harmed and police hope someone running or walking there may have seen something. Anyone with information can call police at 703-691-2131 or Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS (8477).
