Democrats are out for Attorney General Jeff Sessions after a report from The Wall Street Journal showed that the then-Senator and head of the Armed Services Committee met with a Russian ambassador twice during the presidential campaign.
Sessions said under oath that he had no contact with the Russians, but then clarified that he was speaking in terms of being a Trump surrogate and never spoke on behalf of the campaign.
Nonetheless, Democrats want him to resign from his position. Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) tweeted on Thursday morning that she had never met or had a phone call with a Russian ambassador in the 10 years she’s been on the Armed Services Committee.
Unfortunately for McCaskill, she must have forgotten that she tweeted several times in the past that she spoke with Russian ambassadors.
Apparently, McCaskill should have #DoneHerHomework before she used an opportunity to smear Sessions and realized she had made multiple contacts with the Russian ambassador.
