Last week, President Obama proved he could sing. At a fundraiser last Thursday night at the historic Apollo Theater, POTUS belted out the beginning of Al Green‘s “Let’s Get Together.”
This week, his campaign is taking full advantage of that musical moment. On Monday, Obama for America debuted “POTUS for your Phone” a free iPhone or smartphone ringtone of the president singing. The ringtone only lasts a matter of seconds, in which the president sings the first line of the song, “I, I’m so in love with you,” and the audience goes nuts.
“President Obama was inspired to sing a bit of Al Green during a recent campaign stop at the Apollo Theater,” reads his campaign website. “And now you can have his rendition of ‘Let’s Stay Together’ as a ringtone.”
