Michael Steele has been asked not to speak at the Chicago Tea Party event, although organizers are encouraging him to attend. From CNN’s Political Ticker:
“This is an opportunity for everyday citizens to speak and for elected officials to listen,” Organizer Eric Odom said Thursday. “We’ve been listening to them for years. On April 15, we are taking this opportunity to speak to them. It’s not an opportunity for them to speak to us.”
Judging by this map the “Tea Party” Movement is gaining steam after CNBC’s Rick Sanitelli called for an organized ‘Tea Party’ protest of government spending.
Fox News hosts Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Neil Cavuto, and Greta Van Susteren are all going to broadcast live from Tea Party events, and it isn’t a genuine party unless the media nanny is upset.
