Clinton biographer: Obama looking to throw Hillary under the bus for Libya attack

Bill Clinton might have delivered a rousing speech backing President Obama’s re-election at the Democratic National Convention last month that gave him a boost in the polls, but sources suggest that the President could repay him by throwing Hillary under the bus.

Clinton biographer Ed Klein has sources in the know who tell him that Hillary could end up being Obama’s sacrificial lamb in his effort to dodge the blowback from the attack by al-Qaida terrorists in Benghazi, Libya that killed U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three others.

“This new rift, which the Clintons and Obamas have managed keep secret from the media, has poisoned their relations to such an extent that it could conceivably have an impact on the outcome of the presidential election,” Klein writes in an op-ed on The Daily Caller.

The Obama administration’s effort to shield the President from the blame became evident Friday when White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters that Obama and Vice President Biden had never been briefed about diplomatic security concerns in Libya.

Should Obama decide to exact retribution against Hillary for Libya it could tarnish her should she decide to run for President in 2016 and make it more difficult for Obama to win re-election, according to Klein.

Hillary has been trying to shield herself from falling victim to blame for the worst attack against an American diplomatic mission since the seizure of the U.S. embassy in Tehran in Nov. 1979 on Jimmy Carter’s watch.

“We will never prevent every act of violence or terrorism, or achieve perfect security,” Clinton told The Hill. “Our people cannot live in bunkers and do their jobs.”

She further noted that diplomatic personnel cannot expect “perfect security.”
