More than 500 people (including D.C. Councilman Michael Brown) packed the Kennedy Center Roof Terrace restaurant on Tuesday night for the Children’s Law Center’s 10th annual “Helping Children Soar” benefit where CNN correspondent Sanjay Gupta was honored with the 2010 Distinguished Child Advocate Award.
Dr. Gupta was chosen as this year’s recipient because of his reporting on how health issues affect children and at-risk youth.
