A suspect is in custody after authorities in California responded to multiple reports of a man with a gun on Highland High School’s campus in Palmdale, a Los Angeles County fire official said.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy Charles Moore said the sheriff’s department receive the first call regarding a gunman at 7:00 a.m. Pacific time.

The male suspect was apprehended near a grocery store in Palmdale, according to the Palmdale Fire Department.
The Fire Department said it received reports that there were shots fired near the area that is about an hour away from downtown Los Angeles.
There are no details on whether there were any injuries as a result of the shots fired.
