Three people are dead and three others were injured in two attacks in Manassas, and police are looking for a man for questioning in both.
Two people were fatally shot and two people were hurt about 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Georgetown South neighborhood, police spokesman Sgt. Tim Neumann said. About 20 minutes later, another person had been killed and another hurt with a machette or knife.
Police said they have detained a man that knows the families in both attacks.
A press conference has been scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday.
