HAMBURG, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities are investigating the death of a 29-year-old woman who was found along a Buffalo-area road after going for a late-night walk.
The husband of Jennifer Martello tells local media that she died Tuesday afternoon at a Buffalo hospital.
Police in the town of Hamburg say a passer-by called 911 early Tuesday morning to report an unconscious woman lying alongside a two-lane road. Officials say Martello may have been hit by a car while walking near her home, but police say they’re still trying to determine exactly what happened because there were no witnesses.
Martello was the mother of a 1-year-old girl.
