Five people injured after car crashes into DC hotel lobby

Five people were injured after a car crashed into a hotel lobby in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, with at least one person being transported to a hospital for serious injuries.


Officials reported that there are no structural integrity concerns with the hotel after the car crashed into the building of Yotel Washington D.C. First responders treated four people with more minor injuries on the scene.

The car appeared to crash through the front windows, with the vehicle fully entering the lobby, according to photos posted by the D.C. Fire Department. It’s not entirely clear what caused the crash or if the driver was injured.
