PARSING THE POLLS: New Hampshire CNN Poll Has Tiny Unreliable Sample

CNN and WMUR have published the latest New Hampshire poll under the “Trump on top, battle for second emerges.”

But here’s the thing about the poll: the sample is tiny and unreliable. Most of the poll was conducted before the Iowa Caucuses. The two days that were conducted after the caucuses had this sample: “209 respondents who say they plan to vote in the Republican presidential primary.”

So that is a miniscule sample size, resulting in a margin of error greater than 6 percent. And it’s not even a poll of likely voters.

In short, this poll doesn’t tell us anything about New Hampshire voters post-Iowa.
