[VIDEO] ‘SNL’ mocks Brad Paisley’s song “Accidental Racist” for “curing racism”

NBC’sSaturday Night Live” mocked Brad Paisley and LL Cool J’s new song “Accidental Racist,” for “curing racism” during this weekend’s show.

During the SNL’s “Weekend Update,” the fake news segment’s host Seth Meyers brings Paisley (Jason Sudeikis) and LL Cool J (Kenan Thompson) on to ask about the controversy surrounding the song.

“We did it!” the fake LL Cool J brags. “Racism’s over y’all!”

“One song! It’s done!” Paisley hollers in excitement.

The fake Paisley explained that all he “wanted to do was show folks the gritty, racial reality of a man at Starbucks talking to his barista,” referencing the part in the music video where a man walks into Starbucks donning a Confederate flag t-shirt.

“I wanted to tell the story of rapper, know what I”m saying, who needs to get his name out there, because he has a new album about to drop,” the fake LL Cool J added.

“We know the song’s not perfect,” Paisley said before the fake rapper interrupted him. “It’s not even good.— musically or lyrically,” LL Cool J admitted.

Quoting the lyrics from the country song, Paisley said, “I’m just a white man from the southland— racism is cured y’all!”

The pair even perform a deleted refrain from the song where Paisley sings, “I’m just a caucasian … trying to understand what racist even means.”
