Michael Caputo, a former Trump campaign aide, was interviewed by special counsel Robert Mueller on Wednesday.
Upon leaving the interview, the Republican consultant said Mueller appears to be honing in on potential collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians.
“It’s clear they are still really focused on Russia collusion. … They know more about the Trump campaign than anyone who ever worked there,” Caputo said, per CNN.
“The Senate and the House are net fishing,” Caputo added. “The special counsel is spearfishing. They know what they are aiming at and are deadly accurate.”

In a follow-up interview on Fox News, Caputo said he still doesn’t believe there was any sort of collusion. “Of course not,” he said when asked by host Tucker Carlson.
The interview with Mueller comes after Caputo excoriated the Senate Intelligence Committee during testimony for that panel’s Russia investigation.
In his closing remarks, Caputo told members of the panel, “God damn you to hell”, after explaining how the investigation “forced” his family out of their home and “crushed” his children due to mounting legal costs associated with the inquiry.
