Socks can tell a lot about a person — and the crazier the sock, the more intriguing, rebellious, and successful the man.

“Clothes invade the body and brain, putting the wearer into a different psychological state,” Galinsky said to the New York Times.
So wearing bold colors or an exciting type of pattern gives people more confidence, and may help them feel braver, and more unpredictable.
Of course it is just a pair of socks, so not too unpredictable — like quitting you’re job to join the circus. Nonetheless it could be meaningful for someone working at the office who wants to be noticed in a positive light.
Colorful socks are a revolution against the stagnant uniform look of black and brown.
According to Quartz, crazy and colorful socks help define someone’s personality and show that they’re vivacious, innovative, and intriguing.
“Colorful or character socks show playfulness and make a great icebreaker or way to connect with others,” Quartz said.
“Another possible advantage of wearing fanciful socks and other unexpected attire,” the website continued. “You build a brand as ‘the gutsy guy’ or a creative type and over time, it may give you more room to bend or break rules.”
So rock out with those colorful socks out. They’ll show you’re a rule breaker — in the innovative kind of way.
