Two students were arrested after a food fight at Centreville High School in Clifton, officials said.
The food fight happened around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday during an early lunch in the cafeteria, said Fairfax County schools spokesman Paul Regnier. The early lunch period was for students taking the state Standards of Learning test.
The school resources officer called for police backup and the food fight was stopped, Regnier said. Afterwards, as students cleaned up the mess, a student and a school staff member got into an altercation, he said.
