Three sentenced in state invoice scam

In the Circuit Court of Baltimore City, Stephen Ross, Diana O?Connor and Tinikia Rice pleaded guilty to participation in a false invoice scheme at the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development.

The trio was charged in connection with the issuance of more than $33,000 for services that were never rendered, state Attorney General Douglas Gansler announced.

The defendants each received a suspended sentence of three years in prison and must pay full restitution. Ross received four years probation, and Rice and O?Connor got three years.
