Sean Hannity: Trump won’t fire Robert Mueller

Fox News anchor Sean Hannity said he doesn’t think President Trump will fire special counsel Robert Mueller, even though many in the media are speculating that he will in order to terminate the Russia investigation.

“He has every right, in my mind, to be frustrated,” Hannity, one of Trump’s most vocal supporters, said Monday morning on “Fox & Friends.” “But I would argue we’re getting to the end of the process and there’s not going to be any firing of Mueller.”

White House lawyer Ty Cobb said in a statement Sunday that the president was still not considering firing Mueller, after it was reported that he had subpoenaed financial records from the Trump Organization that dealt with Russia.

“In response to media speculation and related questions being posed to the administration, the White House yet again confirms that the president is not considering or discussing the firing of the special counsel, Robert Mueller,” the statement said.
