President Obama will be promoting math and science education with an appearance on the Discovery Channel show “Mythbusters,” airing Dec. 8. In the taped episode, the president had a walk-on role and explored the question: Did Greek scientist Archimedes set fire to an invading Roman fleet using only mirrors and the reflected rays of the sun?
“I didn’t get to blow anything up. … I was a little frustrated about that,” the president said Monday.
Obama announced the news at the White House science fair.
