NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. – Publishing executive and former presidential candidate Steve Forbes believes Florida Senator Marco Rubio’s tax plan ranks among the worst of the 2016 GOP field’s.
“Sadly, he’s got the worst of the bunch. It’s still too complicated,” Forbes told the Washington Examiner, adding Rubio’s rates are “too high.” The 1996 presidential candidate had high praise for Sen. Ted Cruz’s plan.
Forbes said the GOP field has not led the campaign with issues and bold ideas to revitalize the economy, or to simplify what he sees an overly complex tax code.
